Ghana Badminton Shuttle Time Coaching Officials Course

Ghana Badminton’s and Badminton World Federation’s entry-level schools and club’s badminton program. It is an on-court course that will teach you practical skills to plan and deliver safe and fun lessons to children in the age bracket of 5–18 in schools and community clubs.
The aim of this course is to equip all participants with basic knowledge of teaching badminton and giving them the opportunity to build a career in badminton coaching. The course will also take participants through Technical officiating in badminton. This prepares you to build a future professional paid career in becoming a badminton Technical Official at the world level.
We extend this invitation to all Physical Education teachers and persons interested in coaching badminton at the grassroots level. We would like to offer you the opportunity to build a future career of teaching and technical officiating of the sport in schools and community clubs. We will take you through training courses from 7:30 am to 5 pm.
Once your ranked assessment is certified, you can also be hopeful to be recommended to officiate at the International Events happening here in Ghana in 2026
The Optional training package includes:
1. Course T Shirt
2. 202 page Teachers’ Manual (Soft Copy) & emailed handout
3. Certificates- National and International Certification
5. Learning Materials–22 lesson plans, 92 supporting video clips, Emailed out
6. Technical Official’s Handbook
As Technical Officials, you will be able to.
• Manage the Semi-Professional Referee and Umpire Programs across Ghana, Africa,, and the world
• Manage the development and delivery of directive/guidance materials for BWF Technical Officials, including draw management, player clothing, and role-specific instructional documents.
• Manage the development and delivery of content for the quarterly magazine for Technical Officials.
• Manage the development and delivery (where applicable) of Technical Official’s training, instruction, and education at all levels, including national and continental, if required.

All participants must dress sporty with a single nylon shuttle cock, laptop, notepad and pen for taking notes and a Badminton racket. Attendees will be required to complete a course work.
