BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: TEAM GHANA BEGINS QUEST IN GROUP F AGAINST BELGIUM<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 23rd World Badminton Championships begins the burst of life as Ghana and Mauritius will represent Africa for the BWF World Championships in Spokane, USA. Ghana begins its quest to conquer the world in the championship.
\nThe World Juniors Championships organisers are bracing for the largest-ever World Championships this September, with eighteen badminton courts assembled inside the venue to accommodate more than 600 athletes, 900 coaches, officials, and VIPs and more than 187 media personnel, all from more than 60 countries for the almost three-week-long championship on U.S. Soil.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At today's Mixed Team Event draw ceremony in Kuala Lumper, Malaysia, Team Ghana is thrilled to be placed in Group F with France, Spain, Hong Kong, China, and Belgium.<\/p>\n

\"Ghana<\/p>\n

Team Ghana begins its first match on September 25, 2023. In the previous edition, Ghana achieved the best result by an African finish at the World Juniors Championships. \"We have grown the sports in every nook and cranny of the country and are thrilled with the amount of national support the world championships are receiving; it is a demonstration of our thematic targets within our Mission 2027 Strategic Plan, and we will make the African continent proud again!\" said Ghana Badminton President Evans Yeboah.
\nThe World Championships provides Badminton's billion fans and global media a first glimpse of the future stars, and it is the first opportunity for talented young badminton players to represent their country in a world event.<\/p>\n

Cindy Tornyenyor is leading the charge in Women's Singles events<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Participation in the World Junior Championships is essential for Ghana Badminton for the following reasons-It provides a benchmark to compare the level of development in Ghana with the rest of the world, enabling an excellent development experience for athletes, coaches, and officials.
\nThe most important is to bring key ranking points opportunities for BWF rankings towards the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

It is also an opportunity to experience top-level competition and perhaps put them on the pathway towards becoming one of the future stars. Ghanaian officials will also participate in Training Camps and Coaching Clinics to enrich the global experience as the national Association spurs its development and strategic growth of the sport.
\nGhana is fielding the best contingent in line with its National High-Performance programme and asking for a national team shirt sponsorship for the federal delegation from private and public firms benefiting from a large media local and international media attention and markets.<\/p>\n
