Executive Board Member

Barry Alidjah is a dedicated educationist with 29 years of professional experience. For the past nine years, he has served as a Deputy Director of Education, building upon an academic foundation that includes an MPhil in his field.

Currently, he is the Headmaster of Seventh-Day Adventist Senior High School in Gomoa Jukwa, within the Central Region’s Gomoa Central District. In this role, he also contributes as a member of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) and serves on the Executive Committee of the Pioneer Ghana Conference of the SDA Church.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Barry is a strong advocate for talent identification and development. His school has excelled in disciplines such as soccer, volleyball, and table tennis. He holds a special commitment to badminton, having invested significantly in nurturing student talent within his own school and extending this support to learners in sister schools to help advance the sport nationwide. These efforts are already yielding impressive results, with several of his students winning medals for Ghana.

In his capacity as an Executive Board Member of the Ghana Badminton Association, Barry is tasked with championing the sport’s growth. His mandate includes promoting its integration into school curricula, forging strategic corporate partnerships, and enhancing badminton’s commercial appeal. Through these initiatives, he aims to broaden access, unlock new revenue streams, and inspire widespread participation among students across Ghana.
