The Kampala International is an international badminton competition held in Kampala, Uganda, typically at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium. Sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) as part of the Future Series, the event attracts players from multiple countries to compete across men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. It offers athletes the chance to earn world ranking points, gain international experience, and compete for prize money, while also promoting the development of badminton in East Africa. The tournament began in 2023 and has continued to grow in participation and stature in the regional badminton calendar.
