Who are we?
Ghana Badminton is the governing body of Badminton in Ghana. They are responsible for representing, coordinating, administering, marketing and developing the sport in close cooperation with related bodies. From delivering nationwide grassroots success to the Olympic, Commonwealth and Paralympic podium, we are the organization for all things Badminton in Ghana. We welcome everyone who wants to get involved, regardless of age, ability or gender. Established in 1962, we value and represent every one of our members and fans as one collective voice for Badminton in Ghana. As we develop the sport, and with millions playing every year, we want to inspire everyone to play more, support louder and love badminton, from this generation to the next.
Ghana Badminton
Ghana Badminton Mission 2027 is our strategy outlining our vision to turn Ghana into a ‘Badminton Nation’.
Relaunched in Feb 2023, Mission-2027-Plan sets out a series of bold targets across the breadth of the sport – from delivering success on the Olympic stage to strengthening clubs and newly launched leagues, from getting more children to play Badminton in schools to creating a world-class coaching and officiating workforce.

Our Guiding Principles
Underpinning all of this, we have our five values:
- Connected: We will work to bring together all aspects of Badminton in this country, creating a single, connected Badminton community, able to communicate, collaborate and innovate effectively.
- Innovative: We will foster a culture of innovation across the entire Badminton community, embracing digital and technology to reach and engage existing and new audiences, encouraging people to innovate and take measured risks to improve every aspect of our sport.
- Inclusive: We will actively seek out the broadest range of views and experiences, listen to those who understand why there are barriers to participation and work with them to develop our sport, which provides opportunities for all.
- Respectful: We will treat every member of the Badminton community with the respect they deserve, encouraging others to do likewise, both on the court and off.
- Open: We will be honest and transparent in everything we do, accountable for our actions and open about the rationale for our decision-making.
