Pursuant to the Sports Regulations, 2023 (L.I. 2477) and GCR regulations for Ghana Badminton — complete this form to apply for approval to host a badminton event in Ghana. Sanctioning ensures compliance with national standards, logistics for national technical officials, insurance coverage, and official recognition.

1 Applicant & Club Details
Must be a registered member of Ghana Badminton and licensed sports entity under Regulations 3, 6, 11 & 12 of L.I. 2477.
Your club's registration number under Regulation 6 and GCR of Ghana Badminton
2 Event Classification (L.I. 2477)
Select the event type to determine which Regulation applies and the required notice period.
3 Venue & Safety Compliance
Required under Regulation 25(2)(d) for international events, recommended for all.
4 Safeguarding & Regulatory Compliance
Ghana Badminton requires all officials, referees, and staff in contact with minors to meet safeguarding standards. All Badminton shared interest groups must comply with the standards in Regulation 21.

Sanction fees cover insurance for our team , national technical officials & administrative processing.

📜 GHANA BADMINTON WAIVER & RELEASE (In compliance with L.I. 2477)

In consideration of sanctioning by Ghana Badminton (GBA), the Applicant acknowledges that badminton involves inherent risk of bodily injury, disability, or death. The Applicant agrees to comply with GBA & BWF rules, releases Ghana Badminton, its officers, volunteers, and sponsors from any liability except gross negligence, and agrees to indemnify GB against claims arising from the event. The Applicant grants GB the right to use event photographs, video, and names for promotional purposes without compensation. The Applicant further agrees to abide by all safety mandates and venue codes. Failure to adhere may void insurance.

The Applicant confirms that all information provided is accurate, and understands that failure to comply with L.I. 2477 may result in revocation of sanction, fines under Regulation 62 (up to 20,000 penalty units), and forfeiture of fees paid.
