Club affiliation fees and benefits
Why Your Badminton Club Must Affiliate with Ghana Badminton
The Legal Requirement Under L.I. 2477
Under the National Sports Regulations, 2023 (L.I. 2477) , it is illegal to operate a badminton club in Ghana without proper registration and licensing. Ghana Badminton is the sole recognized National Governing Body for the sport of badminton in Ghana.
Based on the National Sports Regulations, 2023 (L.I. 2477) and the official documents from Ghana Badminton, affiliation with the National Governing Body is not merely recommended—it is mandatory by law. Operating outside of this framework constitutes a criminal offense.

What Happens If Your Club Does NOT Affiliate?
❌ Criminal Offense: Operating an unregistered sports entity is illegal under L.I. 2477.
❌ No Event Sanctioning: You cannot legally host any tournament or public sporting event.
❌ No Insurance: Your club, organizers, and players have no liability coverage.
❌ No Recognition: Players cannot participate in any official national or international competition.
❌ No Funding: Your club is ineligible for any government or sponsor support.
❌ No Pathway: Your talented players cannot be selected for national teams.
Affiliating with Ghana Badminton is the only legal way for your club to operate, host tournaments, access insurance, and give your players a pathway to national and international representation. Any club operating outside of this framework is violating L.I. 2477 and is subject to legal prosecution, fines, and imprisonment.
