Become a referee

Get involved in the running of tournaments by becoming an National official referee.

How to qualify to become a referee

We would not be able to run any of our tournaments without referees. These are the volunteers who give their time to manage events ensuring they are run smoothly and within the laws of Badminton and the competition.

To join the referee pathway you would first need to qualify as a National Certified umpire, with a minimum of 250 matches officiated at sanctioned events.
