Why the Golden Shuttlers?

The story of the Golden Shuttlers dates back to the early days of the Ghana Badminton Association (GTA) in 1962.

Golden Shuttlers have enjoyed a series of recent medal triumphs on the global stage

The major multi-sport event at which Ghana is represented is the Commonwealth Games, since it was introduced in 1966.

Ghanaian athletes have also dominated the teams which have represented Ghana at several African Games since 1973 in Abuja, Nigeria.
