Badminton is becoming increasingly popular in schools across Ghana. As the National Governing Body for the sport, a key area of our work is to support schools in public and private institutions to introduce Badminton and enable students to participate.

- Both boys and girls can play it –social benefits.
- Is both an individual and team sport.
- It is a safe, low impact sport for school children.
- Indoor and outdoor participation.
- Mass participation in small spaces-20+ pupils on space of 1 court.
- Badminton builds fundamental physical skills and develops many life skills.
- Equipment is inexpensive.
- People with a disability can play badminton.
How to make Badminton a success in your school:
Ghana Badminton provides a schools packages offer which offers discounts on indoor and outdoor Badminton Shuttlecocks, rackets, nets etc.
Select the ‘Find a Coach’ tab on our map to source a qualified coach to come to one of your sessions.
We offer a range of courses for both students and staff. From gaining a better knowledge of umpiring to getting to grips with coaching.
There are about 32 schools Zonal and Regional competitions, one for teams and individual events. These filter into selection into our national and, ultimately, international competitions.
