Play Badminton at Work
From Badminton Court and trophies to tips and tournaments, Badminton at Work has everything an organisation needs to bring badminton to life in the workplace.
- A point is scored when you successfully hit the shuttlecock over the net and land it in your opponent’s court before they hit it. A point can also be gained when your opponent hits the shuttlecock into either the net or outside the parameters
- To win a game you must reach 21 points before your opponent. If you do so, you will have won that set. If the scores are tied at 20-20 then it comes down to whichever player manages to get two clear points ahead.
- If the points are still tied at 29-29 then the next point will decide the winner of the set. Winning the overall game will require you to win 2 out of the 3 sets played.

You can pay for your order by PayPal or card payment at the time of ordering, or request to pay by invoice. Ghana Badminton reserves the right to decline any order if your organisation or project doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria of the Badminton at Work project. If you pay via PayPal or card at the time of ordering, you will be issued a refund less an administration fee.
We’ve noticed that the workplaces who get the most employees playing Badminton are those that plan ahead.
Questions to consider:
- Do you have a clearly visible, safe area to position a Badminton Court either inside or outside your workplace that has good accessibility and a flat surface area (ideally a minimum of 20 feet wide and 44 feet long)?
- Do you have an enthusiastic staff member to encourage participation, organise play, create a buzz around the Court and become the Badminton Volunteer Pioneer?
- What time of play would suit your work place? For example casual play, tournaments, before/during/after work, or a Friday afternoon Badminton session.
Eligibility
We do not want price to be a barrier to organizations enjoying badminton and so we’ve teamed up with our equipment suppliers to offer our Badminton at Work customers discounted equipment packages.
To take advantage of these great deals, you must fulfil the criteria listed below:
- Badminton at Work packages are available for businesses in Ghana and their employees only. Any size business is eligible, however, ‘home offices’ do not constitute a workplace.
- Businesses who order a Badminton at Work package must return monitoring and evaluation information when requested by Ghana Badminton.
- Your organisation must align to Ghana Badminton’s commitment to equality and diversity, ensuring Badminton opportunities are inclusive and accessible to all.
- Badminton at Work packages are not available to businesses who intend for the court to be used by members of the pubic or paying customers.
- The package cannot be purchased to replace old, tired or worn court mats and must create new or enhance existing Badminton provision.
- Education providers may purchase a Badminton at Work package, but the court must be placed in a staff only area and is not available for pupils to use.
Please note organizations can only receive a maximum of two subsidized packages.
