The coaching pathway involves a progressive series of qualifications designed to provide learners with the necessary skills to be able to plan and deliver Badminton coaching activities/sessions/programmes.
Coaching Education is a key component of Ghana Badminton’s Mission 2027 Plan. Coaches at all levels play a crucial role in ensuring that Badminton is an enjoyable experience for everyone. In addition, they lay the foundation for the development of better players. Badminton players can be divided into two streams: those that play for fun, and those that play to reach the highest level possible. These are often referred to as ‘participation’, "Professional" and ‘performance’ and usually participate and represent the national team in invitational competitions.
Schools in Badminton Coaching Course (Southern Sector)
Provides learners with the necessary skills to plan and deliver basic Badminton coaching activities or sessions.
- Venue: Accra Sports Stadium
- Date: 8– 9 June 2023
- Cost: GHC 300 – includes a one-year free coaching licence from the final day of the course
Schools in Badminton Shuttle Time Coaching Course (Northern Sector)
Provides learners with the necessary skills to plan and deliver basic Badminton coaching activities or sessions.
- Venue: Kumasi, Club C Community Center, Knust
- Date: 14 – 15 September 2023
- Cost: GHC 250 – includes a one-year free coaching licence from the final day of the course
