If you encounter something in the game that you need to take action on, you must get all the information you need as quickly and accurately as possible.
Safeguarding can be viewed as the ‘umbrella’ that protects all of Badminton participants through examples of good practice, policies and guidelines, whilst protecting the management of reported issues and concerns.
Working with people especially children is key to the expansion of Badminton. With our many programmes, Badminton tries to give young people opportunities to participate and help them on their way to achieving their sporting and social ambitions. Additionally, Ghana Badminton is very proud of its ethos of inclusivity throughout our sport and recognizes the key part that vulnerable adults have to play. It is very important that support is given to the volunteers, staff, players and parents by way of good practice guidelines.

All children and young people who participate in our organisation deserve a safe and positive experience throughout our nationwide network of clubs and events.
Ghana Badminton’s Safeguarding Policy ensures that children and young people can develop personally, socially, emotionally and physically. This is within a culture that is committed to safeguarding them from harm.

We would fail as the National Governing Body for Badminton in Ghana if programmes of training and competitions were not available for all involved in our sport. At the same time, we must ensure that everyone’s welfare is a priority and the standards of all those involved are maintained.
