Tournament Sanctions
Ensure your tournament is BAG approved.
As the national governing body for the Olympic Sport of Badminton, we represent every member of the Badminton Community in the country by providing a well-governed, compliant, and inclusive global sport.
We will work with you to sanction your tournament per national and international regulations.
HOSTING A TOURNAMENT?
All events, tournaments, festivals, Charity Matches or Small Sided Competitions due to be played in Ghana must be sanctioned by the Ghana Badminton Association, ensuring that the sport of badminton in Ghana follows our standards.
Tournament sanction regulations to ensure that tournaments organized in Ghana and open to public participation will be played under the Laws of Badminton, the safety of participants, commercial value, compliance and other rules and regulations promulgated by BAG.
We understand some clubs will be looking to arrange competitions, festivals and tournaments during the year. Please note we will also need to liaise with the relevant authorities, where necessary, to ensure they are satisfied with the plans presented to us by clubs. As such, all applications for tournament sanctioning will continue to be considered on a case-by-case basis. The primary goal of the sanctioning process is to protect the interest of the organizers and for equal opportunities for participants by minimizing any potential clashes between programmes/tournaments where the same set of players are expected to participate.
